This policy explains what information Logic Bit ("Logic Bit", "we", "us") collects, why, how we protect it and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, email dev@logicbit.tech.

Who we are

Logic Bit is a software development company based in Miami, Florida, United States. We operate the website logicbit.tech and provide custom software, integration, AI automation and website services to businesses. For this website and for our own business records, Logic Bit is the "controller" of the personal information described here.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to information collected through logicbit.tech, our forms, email conversations with us, and our sales and project activities. It does not cover websites or software we build for clients; those are governed by each client's own privacy policy (see Data we handle for clients).

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact, project brief or Website Builder forms, or email us, we collect what you provide, which may include:

Name, job title, company name and company website.
Email address, phone number and mailing or business address.
Project details: descriptions, goals, budget range, timeline, current technology, service lists, page content, history and team information.
Brand materials: logo files, brand colors, reference websites, photos and other uploads.
Any other information you choose to include in a message.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider (Netlify) processes technical data needed to serve the site and protect it from abuse: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages requested and timestamps. Our forms also record a time-on-page value and a hidden "honeypot" field to detect automated spam. This data is not used to identify you personally.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site. It records the pages you view, how long you stay, how you arrived (for example a search, a link or an ad), your approximate location (city and country, estimated from your IP address), and your device, browser and screen size. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies (such as _ga) to recognize repeat visits. We do not send Google your name, email address or anything you type into our forms. Information from others. If you are referred to us, the person referring you may share your name and contact details. In a project, your colleagues may share information about you needed to do the work (for example, an account name for a system we integrate).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, health information or precise location). Please do not send it through our forms.

How we use information

Responding to you. To answer questions, prepare proposals and estimates, and schedule calls.
Delivering projects. To design, build, deploy and support software or websites you engage us for, including using your brand materials and business details in the deliverables.
Business operations. Invoicing, accounting, contracts, record keeping and communicating about your account.
Security. Detecting spam, abuse, fraud and security incidents.
Improving the site. Understanding which pages are useful, in aggregate.
Legal. Complying with law, enforcing our terms and protecting our rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use what you send us through our forms for advertising. When we run Google Ads, we measure whether a visit from an ad led to a form submission, without sending Google the contents of that form. We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

Why we are allowed to use it

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on: your request or consent (when you submit a form); performance of a contract (when we deliver a project); our legitimate interests (running and securing our business, responding to inquiries); and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate, under agreements that limit their use of the data:

Netlify — website hosting, global content delivery, and Netlify Forms, which stores form submissions (including uploaded logo files) and emails them to us. Data is processed in the United States.
Email and productivity tools — to receive and reply to your messages.
Accounting, invoicing and payment processors — to bill for services. We never see or store full card numbers; payment processors handle them under their own policies.
Google — Google Analytics for site usage statistics, and Google Ads conversion measurement when we run ad campaigns. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Subcontractors — trusted specialists (for example, design or QA) who work on your project under confidentiality obligations and only see what they need.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order; to protect the safety, rights or property of Logic Bit, our clients or others; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Use of AI tools

We use artificial intelligence tools as part of our work, for example to draft website copy from the details you provide in the Website Builder form, to summarize project briefs and to assist with software development. When we do, the relevant project information may be processed by AI service providers (such as Microsoft Azure OpenAI or Anthropic) under commercial agreements that prohibit them from using your data to train their public models. We review all AI-assisted output before it is delivered. If you do not want AI tools used on your project, tell us in writing and we will accommodate that where practical.

Cookies and analytics

logicbit.tech uses a small number of cookies set by Google Analytics and, during ad campaigns, Google Ads. They count visits and tell us which pages and ads are useful. We do not use them to show you ads.

Your choices. The site works normally without these cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We honor Global Privacy Control: when your browser sends that signal, we tell Google not to use your visit for Google signals or ad personalization.

Local storage. The site may use browser "local storage" to save a draft of a form you started, so you can come back and finish it. That data stays in your browser, is never sent to us until you submit, and you can clear it through your browser settings.

How long we keep information

Inquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, so we can follow up if you return.
Client project records, contracts and invoices: for the length of the engagement plus 7 years, to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements.
Uploaded brand files: for the length of the project and a reasonable period afterwards for support.
Server logs: typically 30 to 90 days.

How we protect information

The site is served over HTTPS with security headers. Form submissions are handled by Netlify Forms with spam filtering and are visible only to authorized team members. Secrets are stored in managed cloud configuration, not in code. Access to project data is limited to the people working on your project. Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law, including the Florida Information Protection Act.

Your privacy rights

Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law or to complete a contract.
Stop sending you marketing messages.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Florida and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising rights. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To make a request, email dev@logicbit.tech with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your identity using the email address on file and respond within 30 days (45 days where the law allows). You may appeal a decision by replying to our response.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

We are located in the United States and process information here. If you contact us from another country, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. We serve clients in the United States; we do not target residents of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, but we will honor reasonable requests from anyone to access or delete their data.

Third-party links and services

Our site may link to other websites (for example, client websites or documentation). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before providing information.

Data we handle for clients

When we build or support software for a client, we may access personal information belonging to the client's customers, employees or users (for example, records in a CRM we integrate). In that role we act as a "processor" or "service provider" on the client's behalf. We process such data only on the client's instructions and as needed to perform the services, keep it confidential, apply appropriate security, do not sell it, and return or delete it when the engagement ends, unless the law requires otherwise. Clients are responsible for having a lawful basis and a privacy policy that covers our work. Individuals with questions about data processed on behalf of a client should contact that client directly. We sign data processing agreements on request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will post a notice on the site or, where we have your email, notify you directly. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
